Head of the Personal Income Tax Division (General Administration of Taxes of Belgium’s Federal Public Service)
Since 2012, Didier Leemans has headed the personal income tax division of the General Administration of Taxes of Belgium’s Federal Public Service Finance, which is responsible for personal income tax returns filed by individuals with no private business activities.
In addition, Mr. Leemans is a member of the tax and finance council of Wallonie.
From 2014 to 2015, Mr. Leemans worked with other experts to reform the tax structure of the Brussels-Capital region and, from 2012 to 2017, he served as head of the taxation and parafiscal taxation division of the High Council of Finance.
Over the years, Mr. Leemans has served the Belgian government as a taxation and insurance advisor to the deputy prime minister and the minister of health and social affairs and as a program manager responsible for integrated income tax return processing and collection activities.
